In this novel Leila’s Finnish mother converts to Islam. After that all she cares about is the correct interpretation of the Koran. The father - originally from the Maghreb region - is a Muslim himself, feels rather irritated by his wife’s fanaticism. A story about patriarchy and the inner conflicts between two cultures.
