Miikko Oikkonen (b. 1974) is the co-author – together with Sari Luhtanen – of the Nymfit (‘Nymphs’) series of books, a global hit which is also broadcast on TV. In the books, Greek mythical heroines are transplanted to contemporary Helsinki. In order to survive, the modern-day nymphs must seduce a man on the night of every full moon. If they fall in love, though, the man will die.
Miikko Oikkonen studied film directing at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. He started out working for an advertising agency before becoming a co-founder of the Fisher King film production company. He lives in Helsinki.
