In their poetry the both women deal with the experiences and conflicts they face as Sami women of two different generations. Aikio-Arianaick ponders the role of the mother and wife in a foreign culture, Lukkaris texts, which will be published in German translation together with poems by Inger-Mari Aikio-Arianaick in the book „Erbmütter - Welttöchter,“ cover the stages of life from birth until death.
